doug draime | the late 1980’s on these mean streets of the united states of amerika
Being in
my late
40’s ( an old
man
in some
people’s
book ) and
homeless,
watching
my
days
fold
like a bad
poker
hand,
where the
few
chips
left on my
side
of the table
I
pushed
back
into
the game
and
I
let them ride
I
was treading
on
thin ice
and
I
thought
fuck it
I
might
as well
dance
a
and
I
danced
baby
I
danced

Where the hell are you stashed now Doug? I know you are surprised that I’m still alive, but so am I. Life is too good to ditch. I haven’t always felt that way, but when it gets close to closing time, another drink has to be ordered.
send me a note.
