Man On The Car Ceiling
Not to be out witted by clowns.
Steadfast, lured, pranced in front of
offered free gifts, rebates, simple add on’s
He jumps out of his skin
reaches for the plastic and drives home
The roof leaks and his children get blown up in Iraq.
He coos, hoots and grins at the thick
sunset gurgling in his exhaust.
