WMAD is about an alcoholic Vietnam vet, suffering from post traumatic stress syndrome, who, as a last ditch effort to save himself, becomes host of a call-in talk show at a small radio station in Madison, NJ. Many of the callers are as troubled as he is and soon he’s pushed to the edge.
