Stars on 45 by Ben Smith

Stars on 45

My dad took my sister to hollywood
She was young,
but not young enough
not to remember

when he came home
he told me a story,
about the boulevard of stars

he said

“i got our picture taken with Chewbakka”

and when he was walking away

chewbakka kept getting in his face,
and yelling at him
and scarring my sister.

He even said from over the road.
With the other star wars stars
And movie vixons
Chewbakka was running his hand across his neck
As if to say
Ill cut open your thoat.

So my dad went back to the hotel bar
And had a few beers…
