Can’t fight
The wings
Of jazz
Flapping wild
Over my
Listening ears
That set my
Feet to slip
The floor
Where hands
Are raised
And skirts
Fly by
Like satin
Smooth birds
Pushing wind
Up then down
To the beat
Over my head
Making my
Shoulders turn
Like the earth
Round and round
It surely goes
Touching souls
With thirsty
Hearts
Looking long
To hear
That precious
Sound
Now melted to
The walls
From where
They breathe.
