Lone Wolf by Tom Adams

bus

LONE WOLF

I wander through the shadows
Taking shelter in the places
That noone ever goes

I travel on the back roads
Avoiding other faces
So that nobody will know

I left my wife and children
To keep my focus narrow
Family obligations
Would distract me from the goal

I have never seen the sun
Or the moon when it is full
At least not since so very long ago

Before I learned of all the secrets
That I know

Before I learned of all the secrets
That I know

Poem taken from It Aint All Butter by Tom Adams edited by Green Panda Press Cleveland,  2014
