Another Vampire Show

Slowly the laugh reel
is sucking out the life out.
Another show about the same
events, the same characters.
They won’t change.
Look at them being so good
looking. Each face must be
spray-painted before taping.
Another show about ennui
even with a supernatural flair.
Another show where even
the youngest character has read
Nietzsche and quotes literature
with mordant wit.
Meanwhile, here on the other side
of the tube, I wonder how many
people read anything anymore.
