Ask Away
I’m not good at being
on the spot, and I don’t like
figurative or literal limelight.
I practice my lines
but forget them all the time.
So, where am I headed,
what am I doing, and what
does next year look like?
I don’t even know the shape
of tomorrow, though I have
a vague idea of its symmetry.
I learning new ways to say
I don’t know.
I’m not familiar.
It’s not quite clear.
There’s a beauty to mystery.
So ask away and I will practice
being dodgy, uncertain,
but hopefully not blank.
