I.

Tamarisk light.
Being is infinite.
A joy is overflowing me –
it is independent of my finite being.

II.

On the princely brown hill, a mulberry tree stands, dark with plenitude.
Who are we to have moods, facing
the unknown, the next instant?

III.

Hope

was a substar abyss.
Look into the deep.

IV.

In the pale pre-evening, wasted by elemental torridity,
the slanted light, elusive as a myth,
was crossed by an Eleonora’s falcon,
and the colour of his breast was revealed–
Mycenaen red, under dark wings,
white throat, face drawn like one of an ancient person.
Аn archetype.

V.

The sun was marching on me,
my breaths were my line of defense.
The sun said: “Surrender your arms.”
I said: “Come and get them.”
