Armor of a Wild Child by James Dennis Casey IV

Armor of a Wild Child

Time grown old
Faced
With the wickedness
I will not bow
In homage to you

I shall not be tame
I shall not behave

A wild child
With joy and rapture
Whip and cane

I crack the eyes of time

Fire spreads
Beneath my skin

Pale moon mind
Lunar lunacy

My heartbeat
Like clapping thunder

Burning
Pondering
Exploding

Alive

O time
There is no defeating me

O wickedness
I strike thee down with fury

Come to me now
As you did before
Face me
In battle
And perish

My armor
Now worn and
Lackluster
Yet strong

A time tested warrior
Guardian of omens
Still I stand
Tattooed and scarred
With worthy creed
A wild child
