Rejection Is Acceptance
My mouth snogs dirt
when you accept me.
Tell me unfortunately
it is not right for you right now.
It is not a good fit for you.
So I can get that buzz in my stomach,
release endorphins in my brain.
Tell me “I hope you find a home
elsewhere. But don’t forget to call back
as we welcome your presence.
So I can smile and feel the world
works in my favour.

I just love your poetic diction, Paul! Nicely done!
