To Baron by Jake St. John

To Baron

for John Greiner

The night
has overcome
the window panes
I fear
it will
crack glass
and ride in
on a wave
of stars
the moon
surfing across
the living room
spilling out
the front door
and down
the walk
disappearing
into an ocean
of dust
