Sitting On A Roof & 2 other new poems by G David Schwartz

Sitting On A Roof

Sitting on a roof
reading in a book
I hear the dog barking in the house
and I worry theres a crook.
But I’m on page ninety five.
And I am sure the dog will scare the thief away some time

A Butterfly Fluttered By

A butterfly fluttered by
but too close it rubbed my eye
With its fine furry filaments
And I think I heard it chuckle when it went

I Never Call A Woman A Bitch

I never call a woman a bitch
Insult dogs I do not wish
I will give all and each hugs
but only when they are within reach
