Asked to play violin
in Cosi fan tutte
and while in rehearsal
reading in French “HER”
du Singulier,
an anti novel by the poet
Lawrence Ferlinghetti
published in Paris,
amazed at the new wave
landscape from America
of all places,
in the style of Butor
and Robbe-Grillet,
a moving Beat prose,
while the literati floats on
having been drunk
on the Great Gatsby
or the socialist realism
the towering Babel,
or Gunter Grass’
changing declarations,
here in the orchestral pit
having politely escaped
the CIA,KGB,and Stasi’s
political show trials,
for the clamoring bravos
of the whistling scales
from a fervid Mozart fan.
