Harold has the best mom ever
When Harold was born he did not like
life on the outside, so he went back in
his mother did not want to reject him
inside was safe, warm and nurturing
though living space was cramped
and he had to be careful with toys
When Harold turned twenty-one
mom said, “I love you, darling
but you are now old enough
to start out on your own. Find
someone to share your life with.”
She pushed him out Friday nights
It worked and he happily married
as usual mom was accommodating
the bride moved in with Harold
the women had to compromise
the bride left behind her furniture
and mom did much less travelling
