A Midsummer’s Night

A midsummer’s night when Fireflies flew
overhead, a thousand tiny lights
helped us see
as we played outside.
Those were the days
that stick in my memory,
when all the kids on the block
laughed with so much glee.
We played with June bugs too.

I have been writing since the age of twelve and have had two books of poetry published. My poems have appeared in journals, magazines, newspapers and online blogs. I also like to draw and paint in my spare time.
