Gold at Little Creek

Little creek was winding along
right beside my cabin in the woods.
I had found some gold before, while panning
in the late afternoon.
The gold was enough for me to live on
for awhile in these mountains.
I couldn’t let the villagers know where my secret spot was located.
The real “gold” wasn’t usually found in my pan.
The gold in my life was just living
in this beautiful, slow-paced life at Little Creek.
