Something About the Night

Something about the night,
held promise of a new day
as my lover held me tight,
we dreamed our dreams.

Something about the night
was full of enchantment,
as we held each other tight
beneath the starlight.
There was just something
magical about that night.

I have been writing since the age of twelve and have had two books of poetry published. My poems have appeared in journals, magazines, newspapers and online blogs. I also like to draw and paint in my spare time.
