Three’s a Crowd

He took his love and went to town,
leaving me heartbroken and crying
on the ground.
“Three’s a crowd,” I’ve heard it said,
and yet there were only two, the day we wed.

So, this is how it is, when your head’s in a cloud,
fooled by someone cold, calculating and proud.
So I sit here in my shroud,
finally realizing, “Three’s a crowd.”
