Melodious Misanthropy by Adam Levon Brown

Melodious Misanthropy

Rabid ruby eyes
Drink the darkness
with a mouth full of
broken glass

screech their ivory
cries of death

Monsters hide
from themselves
in frothy

A sip of Hemlock
drowned in

Strike the mallet upon
the oak as this
has passed.
