Living Vicariously
Being among others
who are, very obviously,
not ever going to be
anyone like I was,
I draw energy from their youth
and their enthusiasm for living
in the here and now,
in the moment, in a way
that I failed to come
close to mastering –
especially from the women,
to be frank and forthright,
since the younger guys seem
to have nothing that I
did not have … really?
