The air
all over
town is
thick with
cottonwood fluff
millions of
tiny particles
that look
almost like
insects that
want to
be trees.
The aspen
& the
maple &
mountain ash
tremble &
their leaves
turn golden
& red
& float
limp to
the ground,
oceans of
leaves that
get raked
up &
set afire
in barrels.
