HOUSE OF LIFE NOISE AND COLOR
your home last night
so lovely
filled with life
and sound
and laughter
and the cries of a small
child
halloween decorations
so utterly beautiful
i stood outside and marveled
and bathed in the domesticity
the sense of home
and family
i so long for
and miss
and had only for
what seemed briefly
in this life
your home
you
your eyes
and voice
dinner
the sound of dishes
and pots as i washed
them
all poetry to me
for which i am
grateful
