MOUNTAIN PASS
Driving the line back to
Beyond the mountains other side
I look out into innumerable expanse
And can feel the wind blowing through me
Do you know the feeling?
Of loss, the feeling of having regained
Paradise.
Soft sunlight strips me to the bone
Going further to the far beyond
There are wolves in the distance
If you seek them out
Sunset sky streaked with clouds
Below the heavens I look down
Look down at my feet and cry
Shoes tattered and worn by travel
My soul keeps me afloat in this sea
Of troubled waters
You should know the song
Dig the poem Seth. Tattered shoes from traveling. great image.
