THE EYE SEEING
Perception falls upon the mind
Like light fading when night falls
First impressions blend into what we
Finally understand, angle of observance
Color of a shade of light, shadows
Where the mind lingers, what we
Know is right, obscured by passing clouds
Fluffs of white obscure the ghostly light
Heaven high above, looks on indifferent
To our fatally flawed ways, seconds turn
To minutes, hours turn to days
And forgiveness? What is left
To forgive? A time apart
Left wanting, a dagger
Through your heart
