The world would be different … by D.A. Pratt

The world would be different …

if every male were to be photographed
completely naked on his eighteenth birthday
(certainly no earlier – nothing underage!) …
the resulting archives of intimate images
of each and every male would be waiting
for anyone and everyone to access freely
whenever there was a really good reason
but only if there was a really good reason …

We’re talking about full frontal nudity:
one would display him dangling limply … but
another would show him fully aroused …
a third would capture him masturbating …
hell, maybe the world needs even more:
let’s have a video showing the carnal climax
from his exhibition of self-stimulation,
along with a personal portrait of his face
at the moment of orgasm … whatever …
all of this would be “on file” … waiting …

The world would be
definitely different –
I would hope
it would be a bit better …

daveD.A. (David) Pratt considers himself an outsider within the society he has lived throughout his existence. He maintained an under-the-table interest in reading and writing while working for far too long for the Government of Saskatchewan in the field of taxation policy. After leaving that world, some of his poetry has begun to appear both in print and online.

  1. I started working on this one as a reaction to “men behaving badly” all over the damn place … mainly politicians (being silly and hypocritical) but not just politicians … oh well … DaP
