Four poems by G David Schwartz

This Is Nest

This is nest
I tell the true
I will not hit your sister
Your dog or mother or you

I Was Writing A Bundle Of Shards

I was writing a bundle of shards
When some of them fell down
So being a scrappy fellow
I just scurried around

Don’t Get Angry At Your Mother

Don’t get angry at your mother
She knows where all the food is
And don’t get angry at your father
He’ll cut you from the biz
And surly not your wife
She will stop being nice
and your kids are just young
And like you just what to have fun
Grandpa and grandma are too old to survive
and the family dog will just run and hide
So not to be a bore
But I told you this before
That is exactly what
Your sisters are in existence for

Emily Was So Pretty

Emily was so pretty
Thats not want she said of you
And taught her mouth wasn’t that pretty
It most always was true.
