Day to Day

We waste
our years
in the
rotation
around suns
no where
is far
enough
away
we dance
between
moon beams
thrown against
the bricks
of yesterday
all of us
alone
dancing
in rhythm
the star
dripped
nights
reflected
in puddles
a long
walk home
where ever
that is.

Jake St. John writes out of New London, CT and is the author of several collections of poetry and pamphlet poems including, Rotations (Night Ballet Press, 2015), I Talked To The Moon (Wandering Head, 2012), and Change of Address (Unarmed 2010).
