LE CIRQUE MAGNIFIQUE FIAT

papier-mache
melts away

serfs save elites
from the fallout

no golden pea to be found
beneath the shifting shells

peons prop bulls
too tall to fall

the tax man rides roughshod
bearing greek gifts

across the besotted realm
no one cares to notice
the little children
with their tiny fingers
in a growing void
in a paper dam

the winds of change
swirling

the sun
setting

OTHER

stage smoke of rabbit hole hues hangs in trickhouse mirrors of lifeless light

everything pale
passionless reds
white washed blues

a black magician has stolen the juice from orange
yellow is eclipsed by a bog

i shall dine on fire
become one with djinn

whirl in the wind over gypsy girls
dancing colors of dance
